The Egyptian-Indian joint exercise “Cyclone-4” has commenced, with the participation of elements from the Egyptian and Indian Special Forces. The exercise is held from 9-17 April 2026 at the combat training ranges of the Special Forces in the Arab Republic of Egypt (photo).

The activities began with the implementation of a series of lectures aimed at achieving harmony and unifying operational concepts among the participating forces. This was accompanied by the organization of an exhibition showcasing the weapons and equipment to be utilized throughout the various phases of the training.

The exercise also includes the execution of several prominent training activities designed to facilitate the exchange of expertise and skills between participating elements from both sides, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

Last week, elements from the Egyptian Airborne Forces and the Pakistani Special Forces conducted training exercise “Raad-2”. The exercise continued over several days at the Special Forces combat training ranges in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The training is set to include the execution of a number of joint activities covering planned special operations tasks and counterterrorism domains. These activities aim to facilitate the exchange of tactical expertise, unify operational concepts, enhance integration and cohesion, and further develop and refine the skills of the participating personnel.

Both exercises come within the framework of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ joint training plan with their counterparts from brotherly and friendly nations, with the objective of strengthening cooperation across various military fields. (Source & Photo © Egyptian Ministry of Defense)
