As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens, the Egyptian Armed Forces have inaugurated a number of upgraded service complexes through the General Services Authority.
This initiative comes as a continuation of the comprehensive modernization and development strategy adopted by the Armed Forces across all service facilities to deliver the highest standards of service to both military personnel and civilians alike.
The newly inaugurated facilities include the Sun Mall branch in Al-Tawfiq, Cairo, as well as the Grand Market branches in Al-Raml and the Sun Mall in Mostafa Kamel, Alexandria Governorate.
The inauguration events featured a presentation detailing the construction and renovation works carried out in accordance with the latest engineering standards. This was followed by an inspection tour of the service complexes, which are witnessing increased turnout in light of the Eid al-Adha holiday.
On such occasions, the General Services Authority offers promotional campaigns and seasonal discounts to ease the financial burden on citizens, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Major General Engineer Hassan Raafat Ahmed, Major General Hesham Hosni Hassan, Commander of the Northern Military Region; the Governor of Alexandria; and a number of senior Armed Forces officers.
In another development, General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with U.S. Senator Tim Sheehy, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense.
