Bahrain’s Commander-in-Chief Holds Meeting with Senior Officers

Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander in Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), chaired a meeting attended by Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff; and Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Advisor for Financial and Technical Affairs, and senior officers.

The Commander-in-Chief was briefed on combat and military readiness levels across all branches and units of the BDF.

Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed affirmed that, under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, all branches and units of BDF remain at the highest levels of combat readiness and full defensive preparedness.

The Commander-in-Chief underscored the importance of exerting maximum efforts in carrying out duties across all military domains, and commended the significant achievements of BDF personnel in performing their national duties with professionalism and high efficiency, in support of strengthening the Kingdom’s defence system, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed expressed appreciation for the key role of air defence personnel, noting that all branches and units of BDF responded with strength and determination to the Iranian attacks on February 28. He said the BDF successfully intercepted and destroyed large numbers of hostile aerial targets, including missiles and drones aimed at civilian sites, demonstrating the high level of defensive capability and combat readiness of its military systems.

The Commander-in-Chief added that, with the continued support of HM the King and HRH Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, the BDF has achieved notable success, embodying dedication, sacrifice, and professionalism in defending the nation.

Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed noted that the BDF, across all its branches and units, defended the Kingdom with dedication and resolve, with personnel demonstrating commitment and professionalism across all operational fronts, supported by sound planning, strong military doctrine, and the high readiness of land, air, and naval forces, enabling them to carry out their national duties effectively.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Forces, received Major General Pilot Isa bin Rashid Al Muhannadi, Assistant Secretary General for Military Affairs at the Gulf Cooperation Council.

During the meeting, the Chief of Staff commended ongoing efforts to enhance coordination among the armed forces of GCC member states, in support of advancing joint Gulf military cooperation.
