Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Bahrain Armed Forces, the inauguration ceremony of two production lines at the Professional Maintenance, Training and Manufacturing Development Corporation was held Monday.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Shaikh Ali bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief of Staff for Manpower, coinciding with the 58th anniversary of the establishment of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
The Director of the Military Manufacturing Development Corporation delivered a speech in which he thanked His Majesty the King for his patronage and the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister.
He also thanked Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmad Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, for his ongoing supervision of the development and modernisation stages, and to HH Lieutenant-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, for his support.
Following this, the Assistant Chief of Staff for Manpower unveiled the commemorative plaque marking the inauguration of the two production lines, then toured the facilities to review the manufacturing and production processes, receiving a briefing on the advanced inspection, maintenance, and development technologies employed.
Furthermore, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad, the inauguration ceremony of the Royal Medical Services Emergency Medicine Building, Isolation Ward and Open Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Building was also held Monday, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
His Majesty deputised Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), who assigned Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, to attend the inauguration ceremony, which took place at the Bahrain Defence Force Hospital.
The event also coincided with the celebration of the 58th anniversary of the establishment of the BDF.
Lt. General Al Nuaimi toured the Emergency Medicine Building, the Isolation Ward and the Open MRI Building, during which he was briefed on the modern facilities and advanced medical equipment included in the expansion.
He emphasised that these vital medical projects, particularly the Open MRI device, represent a qualitative leap in diagnostic services. He noted that they constitute a significant addition to the advanced medical services provided by BDF and reflect the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, and the follow-up of the Commander-in-Chief.
Lt. Gen. Al Nuiami commended the efforts of the RMS to provide advanced healthcare through the establishment of modern facilities, equipping them with the latest medical equipment, and qualifying medical personnel to the highest standards across various specialisations. He wished everyone continued success, progress and achievement.
Lastly, the Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, visited Monday the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
HRH was received by HE Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, HE Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, the Minister of Defence Affairs, Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, the BDF Chief of Staff, and several other senior officials.
HRH highlighted the BDF’s ongoing progress and combat readiness, which continues to be supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. He further commended the BDF personnel’s efforts in fulfilling their national duty and stressed the continued training of the force to ensure the highest levels of readiness and preparedness.
His Royal Highness was briefed on the BDF’s strategic plans, programmes, and projects, which are being implemented to enhance its overall combat readiness.
