Bahrain’s King Visits Defence Force General Command

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Bahrain Armed Forces, visited Monday the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).

Upon arrival, His Majesty was received by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF. Also present to welcome His Majesty were Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, along with Senior Officers.

During a meeting with Senior Officers, His Majesty expressed his appreciation to the Commander-in-Chief for his efforts in advancing and developing the BDF, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

HM the King also expressed his appreciation to all members of the BDF, the National Guard, and the Ministry of Interior for their efforts during the Kingdom’s national celebrations, the 26th Anniversary of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne, and the Commemoration Day.

His Majesty praised their continuous dedication to preserving national unity and defending the Kingdom’s achievements and gains and its people.

His Majesty further commended the brave members of the BDF for their sincere service in all their duty locations, both within the Kingdom and abroad, and for their noble efforts to protect the nation, support its successful civilisational journey, and safeguard its national unity.

His Majesty highlighted their cooperation with other countries in promoting security and peace across the region, wishing all continued success and guidance.

In another development, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Interior, received an invitation from Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Kuwait, to visit Kuwait in the coming period.

The invitation was delivered Sunday by Commodore Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al Sabah, Director-General of the Coast Guard at Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior.

Lieutenant General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa was present.

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah commended the deep-rooted ties between the two countries. He highlighted the importance of security cooperation and coordination, as well as strengthening the exchange of expertise and best practices to safeguard security and enhance stability.

The Minister also emphasised the importance of reinforcing joint efforts between the coast guard entities of the two countries to enhance security and protect maritime safety.

Several issues and approaches to enhancing cooperation, coordination, and the development of joint working mechanisms were also discussed during the meeting.
