His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Bahrain Armed Forces, visited Sunday the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
Upon arrival, His Majesty was received by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF; Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs; and Senior Officers.
During the visit, His Majesty was briefed on future plans to develop all branches and units of the BDF. His Majesty expressed his appreciation and pride in the personnel of the BDF, praising their dedication, loyalty, and their noble national service, which they perform with courage and determination for the benefit of the Kingdom and its citizens, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
HM the King affirmed the importance of unity among nations and avoiding escalation, noting that this remains the highest goal and the most effective means to achieving security and prosperity. His Majesty emphasised the importance of supporting efforts to promote peace and cooperation in a manner that enhances development, stability, and prosperity for the region and the wider international community.
His Majesty also commended the outstanding performance of BDF personnel in military courses both in the Kingdom and abroad, noting their high skill and commitment to excellence. His Majesty further highlighted the well-organised courses in the Kingdom, led by senior BDF officers and attended by their counterparts from other countries.
HM the King requested Senior Officers to convey his greetings to all members of the Bahrain Defence Force across their duty posts.
