Marking the Bahraini National Guard’s 22nd anniversary of its establishment, Major-General Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa the Director of Staff of the National Guard has patronized the graduation of new recruits batch, in the presence of senior officers and graduates’ families, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

The ceremony began with a welcoming speech of the Training School’s Commandant in which he welcomed the event’s patron and the audience. He highlighted the tremendous support and diligence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the National Guard, and follow-up of the Director of Staff Major General Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, providing the National Guard fields with efficient human and operational capabilities. 

The officer in charge of the course outlined the progress of the practical training and theoretical curricula of the course.

The graduates carried out practical armed/unarmed drills, silent maneuvers portraying their efficiency and skills gained during their training based on latest military science and syllabuses in building highly efficient soldiers who mirrored the high morale spirits and combat readiness of the National Guard affiliates.

Towards conclusion of the ceremony, the National Guard’s Staff Director delivered the graduation certificates and prizes to the high-achievers, congratulated them and appreciated the efforts of the graduates and instructors in successfully accomplishing the graduation requirements to serve our beloved Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, The Supreme Commander.

Meanwhile, the Coast Guard Commander Brigadier has received Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command and the 5th Fleet. The Coast Guard Commander welcomed the guest, highlighting the importance of such visits in the reinforcement of maritime security cooperation.  They reviewed bilateral relations and issues of common interest. 

During the visit, the US official was briefed about the duties and missions of the Coast Guard and its role in ensuring marine safety. He also visited the Maritime Operations Center.
