At Eurosatory 2024, Texelis unveils CELERIS 6x6, its turnkey mobility solution for new 6x6 vehicles. CELERIS 6x6 aims at vehicle manufacturers willing to expand their ranges on a qualified, already-developed mobility platform, available now.

French specialist of mobility solutions for armoured vehicles, Texelis launched in 2023 CELERIS, its mobility solution for 4x4 vehicles. CELERIS was based Texelis’ development of the Serval 4x4 multipurpose vehicle’s mobility system, conducted for the French Army and currently in production.

The next logical step for Texelis was the 6x6 architecture, which is now available for new customers.

CELERIS 6x6 comes with several options to suit all needs, including trailing arms and double wishbones, with rear axle steering available.

CELERIS 6x6 is derived from CELERIS 4x4, retaining its philosophy and its main components. This enables commonality between both architectures, creating synergies and a comprehensive fleet approach between the two solutions.

As part of the CELERIS process, Texelis is committed to adapting the mobility base to the exact customer requirements, helping them design the vehicle and supporting its industrialization.

CELERIS is a triple commitment: commitment to developing our partner’s very own solution on his specifications and needs, commitment on full autonomy, and commitment on support throughout the whole life cycle of the vehicle.

Texelis aims at expanding CELERIS as a guarantee of performance, so that OEMs only have to say “Celeris inside” when presenting their new vehicles.

CELERIS 6x6 comprises the CUMMINS ISL9 engine developing 275kW, the ALLISON 3200SP transmission, the POWERLINE transfer case, as well as three Texelis T750 axles. The rear axles are available with trailing arms and double wishbones options, with a rear axle steering possible in the double wishbone configuration.

CELERIS 6x6 is an enabler for new 6x6 vehicles in several variants ranging from 18 to 26 tonnes. A high-performance base, CELERIS can accommodate 6x6 Armoured Personel Carriers (APC), Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP), Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFV), alongside systems carriers, Self-Propelled Guns (SPGs) and other armoured and non-armoured combat or logistics systems.

The CELERIS logic is retained at the production level, with a system of base, option and industrial kits to fit all the needs and adapt to all demands.

CELERIS 6x6, available now for OEMs looking for a high-performance, qualified, available base for new vehicle development

The 6x6 is aimed at OEMs or military arsenals willing to develop their capabilities and create new ranges of vehicles for their national army or for export markets. Electing Texelis’ CELERIS 6x6 ensures that mobility –arguably the most difficult part of a vehicle to qualify- will be developed as per the exact requirements, on an already proven, developed, qualified and already in production technical base.

CELERIS 6x6 originated from a clear demand from the market. It has been requested by some of Texelis’ partners looking forward to expanding the experience of CELERIS 4x4 to heavier platforms. These partners understand the value of CELERIS as an enabler for their new ranges of vehicles, bringing even more value to their customer.

CELERIS 6x6 is another step in Texelis’ growth as a provider of complete mobility solutions. Through that journey, Texelis’ ambition is to be the one-stop company for all new mobility developments: the House of Mobility.

The House of Mobility, Texelis is a leader in the design and manufacture of axles, drivelines and complete mobility solutions for 4×4, 6x6 and 8×8 military vehicles. In 2018, the DGA has entrusted the development and implementation contract for Light VBMR to Nexter and Texelis. The Light VBMR fulfils the light vehicle component of France’s “SCORPION” programme. Texelis is responsible for delivering the full vehicle driveline for integration with the systems produced by Nexter for Serval. This solution has been designed to maximise mobility for the extremely demanding and restrictive environment in which the French Army’s vehicle fleet operates in today’s battlefield, delivering advanced protection, and enhanced strategic and tactical mobility.

Texelis supports both manufacturers and operators throughout the product lifecycle, from initial design through renewal. Permanent attention is paid to the technical, robustness and adaptability to always meet the end-users needs and requirements. By expanding its offer developing chassis and mobility kits for armoured vehicles Texelis is proving all its know-how and technology and is positioning itself as the mobility partner of armoured vehicles of today and tomorrow.

A dual company, Texelis is also a key player in the development, design and manufacture of the current and future generations of mobility systems for railway mobility.

Texelis is expanding its offering to include chassis and mobility kits for monocoque vehicles, demonstrating its expertise and technology, and positioning itself as the mobility partner for armoured vehicles, today and tomorrow.
