Avibras Aeroco has officially commenced operations, bringing together strategic assets and a consolidated technological portfolio of products, services and systems from Avibras Indústria Aeroespacial.

Established as a new company, it begins its activities with solid foundations in governance, financial structure and operations, aligned with the current challenges facing the Defence and Aerospace sectors and the interests of its customers, employees and Brazil.

Operating globally, the company designs, develops, manufactures and markets defence systems and space solutions, including missiles, rockets, special vehicles and space launchers. The company possesses expertise in critical propulsion technologies and the integration of complex systems, supported by a robust industrial base and high standards of quality and performance.

Engineering, industrial, and product certification capabilities in the areas of propulsion and systems integration make Avibras Aeroco a unique, highly sought-after, and highly valued asset for multiple nations - one that is difficult to obtain given the restrictions on the transfer of this type of knowledge. The current global context, marked by instability and unpredictability, makes these capabilities essential for Brazil and for its clients in the geopolitical landscape.

Internationally recognised for its engineering expertise and innovation, the company builds on a technological legacy developed over decades, such as the ASTROS Artillery System, a well-established product on the market and combat-proven, and is moving forward with new developments in the certification phase, such as the Tactical Cruise Missile (TCM) with a range of 300 kilometres, as well as the launch of the Tactical Ballistic Missile (TBM), with a range exceeding 100 kilometres.

More than just technology, Avibras Aeroco is driven by the talent of its professionals, the creation of highly skilled jobs, and the development of reliable and innovative solutions that strengthen the security and sovereignty of its customers.

Expertise and Strategic Vision: At the helm of Avibras Aeroco as Chief Executive Officer is Sami Hassuani, an engineer with over 40 years’ experience in the defence and aerospace sectors, who takes on the role with a mission to lead the company’s development, focusing on sustainable growth and expansion into new markets.

“Bringing consistency and strategic vision to the business is fundamental to Avibras Aeroco’s development, especially in a sector that demands long-term planning, relationships built on trust, and continuity in partnerships. I believe in the importance of aligning technology with purpose and of reinforcing the role of solutions developed to meet our clients’ operational and strategic needs,” emphasised Hassuani.

The company will soon hold an event to celebrate this important milestone.
