Chief of Staff of US Air Force Visits Qatar Amiri Air Force

The Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force General Kenneth Wilsbach and his accompanying delegation paid an official visit to Qatar Amiri Air Force.

During the visit, he met with Commander of Qatar Amiri Air Force Major-General (Pilot) Faisal Khalid Al Ghanim.

The two sides discussed topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance and develop them, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

During the visit, the Chief of Staff of the US Air Force attended the graduation ceremony of several aircrew courses aimed at enhancing readiness and professional competence, developing operational capabilities in accordance with the latest training concepts, and supporting air force systems while strengthening operational readiness.

In another development, Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani, held a telephone call Sunday with HE Major General (Engineer) Murhaf Abu Qasra, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Syria.

During the call, the two sides discussed topics of mutual interest, in addition to reviewing the latest developments and updates at the regional and international levels.

Meanwhile, the Language Institute of Qatar Armed Forces, represented by Brigadier Khalid Hamad Al-Kaabi, Acting Commander of the Language Institute, signed an agreement to extend the partnership and cooperation with the French Institute in Doha, represented by Margaux Girard, Deputy Director of the French Institute.

The agreement aims to renew the accreditation of the Language Institute as an official centre for the DELF/DALF French language examinations, in addition to strengthening academic and cultural cooperation. This comes within the Institute’s vision to achieve advanced levels in training programmes, teaching methodologies, and assessment tools, in line with international standards and modern academic curricula.

The signing ceremony was attended by a number of senior officers from the Language Institute, as well as several officials from the French Institute.
