Qatar’s Minister of State for Defence Affairs Launches Defence Strategy 2025-2030

Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani on Thursday launched the Defence Strategy 2025-2030 during a ceremony held at Qatar Emiri Signal Corps.

The strategy focuses on strengthening defence capabilities and enhancing interoperability among the forces through technological solutions and capabilities, as well as adopting research, development, and innovative solutions in the fields of digital systems, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

The efforts aim to boost readiness, keep pace with rapid global developments, and enhance the ability of Qatar Armed Forces to safeguard the sovereignty of Qatar.

In a speech during the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs affirmed that the Defence Strategy 2025-2030 represents a key step in advancing the readiness of Qatar Armed Forces.

He highlighted the importance of technological advancement and the development of national talent in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030, underscoring the State’s steadfast commitment to supporting peace and stability at the regional and international levels, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

The launch ceremony was attended by Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, along with force commanders, heads of authorities, and a number of senior QAF officers.
