In another development, Safran Electrical & Power unveiled Tuesday its new production and maintenance facility dedicated to aerospace electrical systems, located in the heart of the Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore.
The ceremony was held with the Economic Development Board (EDB), JTC Corporation and the French Embassy in Singapore.
This new plant, which employs 70 people, specializes in the manufacturing and maintenance of power conversion and distribution equipment, batteries for customers such as Airbus, Boeing, ATR, as well as major airline companies such as Singapore Airlines, Air China and Japan Airlines.
The facility has fully started its production and maintenance activities, after receiving the approvals of the major international aeronautical authorities: Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The new site strengthens Safran Electrical & Power's position as a reference player in the regional aerospace electrical sector.
