The Joint international exercise ‘Ferocious Falcon-5 2023’ began in Qatar on Sunday under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah and in the presence of Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces HE Staff Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit.
The exercise is taking place between October 29 and November 9, 2023, with the participation of the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the United States, and Türkiye, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
Held with the participation of forces, experts and military advisors from friendly countries, the exercise seeks to raise combat efficiency and unify the combat concepts of the armed forces, in addition to strengthening the bonds of friendship, the support of joint action and the exchange of experiences with these countries.
Elements from the Land Forces Command, Naval Forces Command, and Air Force Command will participate in the exercise. The military personnel of the participating countries will gain experience in the field and strengthen international relations by cooperating in various missions.
The launch of the exercise was attended by a number of Senior Commanding Officers in the Armed Forces, in addition to a number of Ambassadors and Military Attachés in the country.
