02.11.2009 Aviation & Space
Dubai Airshow promises a spectacular Military Aviation flying display, daily from 15 to 19 November, with the first-ever appearance at the show of the Eurofighter Typhoon Aircraft.
The Typhoon, an agile, multi-role Aircraft, specially optimised for high-altitude, supersonic air combat, while retaining considerable ground-attack capabilities, will be flown by the UK's Royal Air Force (RAF).
The aircraft is built by a four-nation consortium comprising BAE Systems of the UK, Alenia Aeronautica of Italy, EADS Deutschland and EADS Spain.
Alison Weller, Director of show organiser F&E Aerospace, said she was pleased to welcome the RAF to Dubai Airshow: "The appearance of the Typhoon jet will confirm that Dubai Airshow will now really be a high-tech, state-of-the-art Military Aviation display, illustrating the cutting-edge nature of defence in the Middle East."
