The Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA), headed by Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, participated in the second edition of Egypt’s El Alamein International Airshow (EIAS), which took place from 7-10 September.
The PACA said in a statement that its participation reflects Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening its presence at international forums dedicated to the civil aviation and aerospace sectors. The authority said the exhibition provided an important platform for exchanging expertise and gaining insight into the latest technologies, innovations and global developments in aviation and aerospace.
The opening ceremony was attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, along with ministers, senior officials and representatives of governmental and international organizations, highlighting the exhibition’s growing stature as a major international platform bringing together decision-makers and specialists from the aviation and aerospace industries.
The second edition of EIAS attracted wide international participation, bringing together representatives from 50 countries, 250 exhibitors, 100 aircraft, 50 air shows and around 12,000 visitors and participants from local, regional and international organizations and companies.
The PACA said the event brought together major global companies specializing in civil aviation, aerospace, technology, defense and related services, providing a valuable opportunity to exchange expertise and showcase the latest solutions and technologies. The authority said Kuwait’s participation produced positive results, including strengthening communication with specialized international organizations, bodies and companies, exploring opportunities for cooperation and partnership, and learning about international best practices in various areas of civil aviation.
It added that the exhibition also offered an opportunity to review the latest developments in aviation safety and security, airport and infrastructure development, digital transformation, sustainability, innovation, modern technologies and air services, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The PACA affirmed that its participation forms part of its broader commitment to strengthening international partnerships, exchanging knowledge and expertise, and keeping pace with global developments and standards in civil aviation.
It further said these efforts would contribute to supporting Kuwait’s development plans, improving aviation services and operations, and enhancing the country’s competitiveness in the sector.
The authority expressed its intention to build on the outcomes of its participation by expanding cooperation with regional and international partners in a manner that serves mutual interests, supports the sustainable growth and development of civil aviation, and strengthens Kuwait’s presence at specialized international forums and events.
