In cooperation with the Italian Navy Staff College and the Ca Foscari University, the Gulf Research Center (GRC) opened its Think Tank Security Forum at the Italian Navy Officers Club in Venice on Monday, May 28.

The first day focused on security trends and global challenges in regional perspectives from the US, Russia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa about security challenges, as well as transnational issues of migration, resources, proliferation, terrorism, the environment and security sector reform.

Think Tanks from around the world gathered together for the discussions and the forum will result in a publication representing the different views of prevalent security threats.

The meeting concluded on May 29 with a focus on the views from Asia.
