The General Headquarters (GHQ) of the UAE Armed Forces hosted a ceremony Thursday to honor preachers from the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE), the Dubai's Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) and the Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department (SIAD) for their role in motivating the national service recruits through lectures calling for adherence to the tolerant teachings of Islam and enhancing the values of centrism, tolerance, moderation and loyalty to the nation and to the leadership.

Pilot Staff-Brigadier Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority, was present at the ceremony, UAE national news agency WAM reported.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun said the honoring came as a token of appreciation to the cooperation between the armed forces and the GAIAE in raising the morale of the servicemen and instilling values of sacrifice, patriotism and support to the legitimacy in brotherly countries.

In attendance were a number of the armed forces officers and scholars.
