Following the successful combat debut of the Typhoon in Libya with Royal Air Force (RAF) and Italian Air Force fleets, Eurofighter and the RAF will provide a full summary of operations flown by the world's most advanced new generation multi-role fighter at a media briefing at the 2011 Dubai Air Show.

 

Eurofighter Typhoon began missions in Libya on 21st March 2011. On 12th April Typhoon started to undertake air-to-ground bombing missions by attacking tanks in the Misrata area of Libya, with Paveway II and Enhanced Paveway II bombs.

This briefing will provide details of the performance and capabilities of the aircraft over the six month deployment.
 
The Typhoon has been already ordered by 6 nations (Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Austria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).

With 559 aircraft under production contract, it is Europe’s largest military collaborative program and delivers leading-edge technology, strengthening Europe’s aerospace industry in the global competition.
