HALO Maritime Defense Systems (HMDS) is exhibiting its new Guardian® Marine Gate at Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition & Conference - DIMDEX 2016.
The HMDS Guardian® Gate has been under development for the past two years with the help of the US Navy. Boasting a 15-year design life, the HALO® barrier is the only barrier in the world to have been validated in independent, fully instrumented crash testing by the US Navy (see video here). Applications for the new technology include ports and harbors, oil and gas assets, nuclear power plants and other sensitive waterside infrastructure.
HALO Maritime Defense Systems (HMDS) provides Security Barrier Systems to protect strategic maritime assets like ports, naval bases, oil and gas facilities and other commercial maritime assets. Based on over a decade of research and proven technology used in the fabrication and deployment of wave attenuators, the HALO® Maritime Security Barrier is a new type of security barrier system employing advanced composite materials and using the water as the stopping force, providing a system that is proven effective, low maintenance and eco-friendly. HALO® is not a line of demarcation but rather a formidable, stable deterrent that effectively denies access to vital maritime assets.
