The Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy (SQNA) inaugurated the Virtual Reality (VR) Laboratory, reflecting the Royal Navy of Oman’s (RNO) commitment to keeping pace with modern technologies and developing its training system.
The opening was held under the auspices of Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman.
The ceremony began with a briefing on VR technology and its role in utilizing the latest interactive technologies to enhance the educational process at the Academy.
Afterwards, Al Rahbi and the attendees watched a visual presentation on the stages of the VR laboratory's establishment and were briefed on the advanced equipment and technologies used within it, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
The Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy is concerned with establishing, training and qualifying officers and individuals to be the main tributary to the fleet and naval bases, as well as military security agencies.
