Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Zaabi, Secretary General at Oman’s Ministry of Defence received in his office Wednesday Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, Senior Adviser to the British Ministry of Defence for Middle East Affairs and his accompanying military delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed a number of matters of common interest, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Ahmed Ibrahim Ambu Saidi, Director General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Defense. It was also attended by a number of senior SAF officers and the Military Attaché of the British Embassy in Muscat.
Meanwhile, Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) also received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren (photo) and his accompanying military delegation.
The two sides exchanged discussed several military matters of common interest. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Hamed Abdullah Al Balushi, SAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning, a number of senior COSAF officers and the Military Attaché of the British Embassy in Muscat.
Lastly, Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren and his accompanying military delegation visited the National Defence College (NDC).
Upon their arrival at the Centre, the guests were greeted by Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC).
Members of the visiting delegation were briefed on the College’s facilities and its strategic curricula, which focuses on preparing national competencies capable of taking strategic decisions at various levels. They also toured the NDC’s departments and various halls.
