ELT Group is attending Farnborough International Airshow 2026, taking place from 20 to 24 July, to showcase its most advanced solutions for electromagnetic spectrum operations, applicable across all operational domains.
In a context where operational requirements are evolving rapidly, ELT Group responds with integrated, modular and scalable solutions designed to adapt to the continuous evolution of field requirements: sensors, protection and electronic attack operate within a single interoperable system, easily adaptable to new threats and capable of scaling from the individual platform to the entire operational theatre.
Among its development activities in the avionics domain, ELT Group has contributed from the earliest stages to the Eurofighter Typhoon programme, for which it is co-design authority of the Praetorian Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS). Today, in collaboration with the other companies of the EuroDASS consortium, the Group continues to play a central role in upgrading the aircraft’s self-protection system. The experience and know-how gained in this area also underpin ELT Group’s participation in the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), through the G2E (GCAP Electronics Evolution) consortium, which is engaged in developing advanced sensing and communications systems for the sixth-generation platform.
Within this framework, ELT Group has also opened a new office in Reading, United Kingdom, designed to strengthen the Group’s presence in a strategic ecosystem for technological innovation and defence. The new office brings ELT Group closer to key international cooperation programmes, such as GCAP and Eurofighter Typhoon, and further consolidates industrial relations.
ELT Group is also strengthening its commitment to the Counter-UAS sector with solutions designed to address the growing threat posed by mini and micro drones. These include ADRIAN (Anti-Drone Interception Acquisition Neutralization), a modular system for the interception, identification and neutralisation of Low-Small-Slow UAVs, including in complex and urban scenarios, enhanced by Cyber RF capabilities developed with the contribution of Cy4Gate. Completing the offering is KARMA (Kinetic Anti-dRone Mobile Asset), a passive and mobile solution for protecting convoys, outposts and sensitive assets, capable of operating in an electromagnetically silent mode.
In the field of airborne self-protection, the Group will also present QUIRIS, a next-generation DIRCM (Directed Infrared Countermeasure) system developed in-house and designed to protect different types of platforms — from light helicopters to large aircraft — against infrared-guided missile threats. Based on Quantum Cascade Laser technology, QUIRIS enables the automatic detection, tracking and countering of threats with extremely short reaction times, delivering high protection performance with a limited impact in terms of size, weight and power.
Among the most innovative capabilities from a technological and operational perspective is the family of payloads for unmanned platforms. One of these payloads, ELT 1000, will be on display at the stand. ELT 1000 is a radar ESM system designed for Class II UAVs. The solution extends electromagnetic surveillance capabilities in support of land and naval missions by detecting, classifying, identifying and geolocating radar signals. ELT 1000 is supported by a mission-oriented C2 command and control ground station, which operates in synergy with the platform’s control station.
In the space domain, ELT Group is expanding the application of its expertise in electromagnetic spectrum management, strengthening its positioning in Space EW. This path includes SCORPIO, the Group’s first Electronic Intelligence payload, designed to intercept, identify and locate terrestrial electromagnetic sources from space. ELT Group’s space activities also include spectrum monitoring initiatives and collaborations with institutional and industrial partners, with the aim of contributing to the development of integrated solutions in support of security, surveillance and information superiority in modern multidomain scenarios.
The airshow also provides an opportunity to present the Electronic Warfare Simulation Lab, an immersive multidomain demo that replicates realistic operational scenarios. Visitors will find the Demo Room at the ELT stand (Hall 1, Booth 1340) and will be able to follow simulated missions featuring real-time data and complex scenarios including surveillance, threat identification and countering unmanned systems (C-UAS).
During the demo, ELT Group will show how collected data are processed and correlated in real time within a command-and-control system displayed on a large LED wall, highlighting how the integration of sensors, simulation and decision-support capabilities can transform the complexity of the electromagnetic spectrum into an operational advantage.
