The Saudi pavilion concluded its participation at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) 2025, held in Istanbul from July 22 to 27.

Organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), the pavilion’s presence, featuring over 10 national entities from both public and private sectors, secured strategic gains aimed at strengthening Saudi military industries and boosting the global competitiveness of national companies.

The Saudi participation strengthened strategic partnerships, showcased the latest defense technologies and innovations, and highlighted Saudi Arabia’s growing products and capabilities in this vital sector.

The Saudi pavilion drew a significant number of visitors, officials, and experts, fostering an environment for exchanging expertise, exploring investment opportunities, and facilitating knowledge transfer, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

GAMI Governor Eng. Ahmad Al-Ohali and his delegation held a series of productive bilateral meetings with senior military officials and CEOs of major global defense companies. These discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in military industries, exchanging expertise, and empowering national companies to boost their international competitiveness. All efforts align with national security objectives, sustainable economic development, and the localization of military industries in Saudi Arabia.

During his visit to the Saudi pavilion and its participating entities, Turkish Defense Industries President Professor Haluk Gorgun commended Saudi Arabia’s presence at IDEF 2025. He was briefed on GAMI’s role, responsibilities, policies, and regulations, as well as the investor journey within the sector.

Gorgun also explored the key industrial capabilities of participating Saudi companies and observed the collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors in enabling the industry and achieving localization objectives.

The Saudi pavilion saw the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the exhibition. Al-Esnad Factory inked three separate MoUs with Turkish companies: MDH Makel, AKSA Group, and Ayyazilim. Additionally; an MoU was signed between the National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS) and MKE, and another between Intra Defense Technologies and SAĞLAMTEK.

These strategic partnerships underscore the growing role of Saudi Arabia’s military industries sector and reflect GAMI’s commitment to supporting and enabling national companies and enhancing their international competitiveness, ultimately serving national security objectives and sustainable economic development.

Visitors actively engaged with the Saudi pavilion, which showcased detailed presentations on national products, innovative technologies, and the military capabilities of participating Saudi companies. The pavilion also provided comprehensive information on investment incentives, the investor journey, and the Kingdom’s attractive investment environment. Furthermore, visitors received thorough explanations about GAMI’s role, responsibilities, policies, and regulations, alongside displays highlighting Saudi Arabia's most prominent capabilities in military and security industries.

GAMI confirmed that Saudi Arabia’s participation successfully met its objectives. These included enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a reliable partner in the global military industries sector, expanding its network with major international companies, and enabling national firms to showcase their capabilities while exploring growth opportunities in global markets. GAMI reaffirmed its commitment to achieving Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of building a thriving and sustainable defense industrial sector that serves both national security and economic development.
