His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of Bahrain’s National Guard, met in Islamabad Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff of Pakistan Air Force.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Training at the Bahrain National Guard, and Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Rabia, Head of the Presidential Court Affairs Division.
His Highness highlighted the steady progress of Bahrain-Pakistan relations and the strength of bilateral military cooperation, underscoring the importance of expanding joint coordination, enhancing collaboration, and exchanging expertise.
The discussions covered a range of topics of mutual interest, with both sides exploring opportunities to deepen military cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
In another development, the General Directorate of Bahrain’s Port Security, in cooperation with the Coast Guard and Masar Group, which specialises in maritime transport, conducted a maritime evacuation exercise at the King Fahad Causeway as part of efforts to enhance readiness and preparedness for emergencies.
The exercise aimed to test approved plans and procedures and strengthen coordination and cooperation among the participating entities, thereby contributing to a rapid and effective response to emergencies and the protection of lives and property.
The exercise included implementing training scenarios in accordance with the approved plans, as part of efforts to enhance the participating teams' efficiency, raise their readiness to handle various circumstances, and ensure the effectiveness of joint coordination mechanisms among the relevant authorities.
