Under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) dispatched a ship carrying military aid to the Lebanese Armed Forces.
The shipment, which arrived at the Port of Beirut on Monday, included 62 Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) to bolster the defensive capabilities of the Lebanese Army and contribute to enhancing security and stability.
This aid is part of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support its Lebanese brothers by providing various forms of assistance. It also underscores the deep strategic ties between the armed forces of the two nations, Petra news agency reported.
In recent weeks, Jordan has also sent several aircraft carrying medical, humanitarian, and relief aid to Lebanon. These efforts aimed to strengthen Lebanon’s healthcare sector and provide essential food supplies and basic needs to those affected.
In another development, Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, held discussions with U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander, General Michael Kurilla, on Monday.

He also highlighted their humanitarian contributions and affirmed continued U.S. support to enhance their defensive capabilities and operational effectiveness.
Earlier, Major General Huneiti emphasized the importance of utilizing all available resources and capabilities to ensure the security and protection of the nation’s borders.
His remarks align with the directives of His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) regarding ongoing modernization and development efforts along the border regions and the need to respond effectively to the dynamic changes occurring across the region.
Major General Huneiti made these remarks during an inspection visit to the 12th Royal Border Guard Battalion, part of the 2nd Border Guard Brigade of the Northern Military Region, where he was welcomed by the region’s Commander.
