Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah discussed with Director of Jordan’s General Intelligence Department Major General Ahmad Husni ways to enhance security cooperation and joint efforts between the two brotherly countries.
The Interior Ministry said in a press statement that Sheikh Fahad met Husni and his accompanying delegation at Bayan Palace last Wednesday. The meeting discussed ways to develop coordination and exchange expertise between the two countries’ security agencies on matters of mutual interest, contributing to security and stability.
The meeting also reviewed the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Kuwait and Jordan, the statement added.
In another development, Assistant Undersecretary of Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs Major General Hamad Al-Munaifi and Assistant Undersecretary for Supporting Security Services Major General Fawaz Al-Roumi conducted separate inspection tours Sunday to review operational performance, readiness and service quality across several key Ministry sectors.
Al-Munaifi inspected the Special Security Sector, correctional institutions and Border Security Sector, where he reviewed the nature of work carried out by various departments and the security and field responsibilities they undertake.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior said Al-Munaifi received detailed briefings from officials on operational mechanisms and procedures, as well as the sectors’ preparedness to carry out their assigned duties, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The tour also covered key operational needs and requirements, with discussions focusing on ways to improve performance, enhance efficiency and ensure the effective implementation of security responsibilities.
Al-Munaifi was briefed on measures to secure Kuwait’s borders and the duties carried out by the Border Security Sector. He also reviewed the sector’s requirements and discussed ways to further enhance operational efficiency and readiness. He stressed the importance of maintaining high levels of preparedness and continuing efforts to perform security duties with the utmost efficiency and professionalism.
Al-Munaifi commended personnel in the Special Security and Border Security sectors for their dedication and commitment to their responsibilities, praising their contribution to strengthening Kuwait’s overall security system.
Meanwhile, Al-Roumi conducted an inspection tour of the General Directorate of Service Centers, Ports Security Sector and Education and Training Sector to assess workflow, performance, readiness and the quality of services provided to the public. At the General Directorate of Service Centers, Al-Roumi reviewed procedures for processing transactions and delivering services.
He also met with the Directorate’s leaders and officials to discuss measures to improve work processes, enhance operational efficiency and raise service standards. At Kuwait International Airport, Al-Roumi visited several departments and facilities within the Ports Security Sector.
He was briefed on operational procedures, readiness levels and training programs, as well as mechanisms for developing personnel capabilities and measures to ensure quality and improve the efficiency of security operations. During his visit to the Education and Training Sector, particularly the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences, Al-Roumi met with the sector’s leadership to review educational and training programs, as well as registration and admission procedures for military courses.
Al-Roumi also inspected several educational and training facilities and halls to assess their equipment, readiness and suitability for implementing the sector’s programs. Al-Roumi praised the efforts of personnel in the General Directorate of Service Centers, Ports Security Sector and Education and Training Sector, stressing the importance of continuing to develop work systems, improve service quality, raise performance efficiency and maintain high levels of operational readiness.
