Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz met at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh with Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control Mohsin Raza Naqvi on Wednesday.

Both Ministers reviewed the relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and discussed ways to strengthen security cooperation and coordination between their respective Ministries, as well as several issues of mutual interest.

Following the reception, they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance scientific, training, and research cooperation between the Saudi and Pakistani Interior Ministries.

The agreement aims to support the exchange of expertise and capacity building in areas of mutual interest, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The meeting and signing ceremony were attended by Acting Vice Minister of Interior Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Director of Public Security Lt. General Mohammed Al-Bassami, Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq, and several senior officials.

For his part, Federal Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mohsin Raza Naqvi visited Wednesday the Unified Security Operations Center (911) in Riyadh Region.

During the visit, he toured the Center’s Departments. He reviewed the technologies used to ensure coordination and integration among all security and service agencies, the Center’s rapid and accurate emergency response capabilities, and its efforts to provide services to citizens, residents, and visitors.

The Unified Security Operations Center (911) in Riyadh serves the city and 22 governorates. It has consolidated the operations of 62 operations rooms into a single facility under the unified emergency number (911). It is responsible for receiving all emergency calls related to several security and service agencies.
