The Kuwait National Guard on Thursday celebrated the graduation of a new batch of field officer cadets holding university degrees, as well as medical and paramedical officer cadets, at a ceremony held under the patronage of Head of the National Guard Sheikh Mubarak Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and attended by Undersecretary of the National Guard Lieutenant General Hamad Al-Barjas.
In a press statement, the National Guard said Lt Gen Al-Barjas conveyed the congratulations of Sheikh Mubarak Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Deputy Head of the National Guard Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to the graduates.
Addressing the ceremony, Lt Gen Al-Barjas (photo) expressed pride in the graduation of a new cohort of officers who have completed academic studies and practical military training, equipping them with the skills and readiness required to support their colleagues in carrying out their duties with efficiency and professionalism, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
He stressed that Kuwait relies on the dedication of its loyal sons to preserve the nation’s security and stability, defend its territory and confront any threats to its safety. He described the homeland as a trust entrusted to its people and called on the graduates to uphold their responsibilities with commitment and integrity. Lt Gen Al-Barjas also prayed for the continued protection of Kuwait, its leadership and its people, and for the enduring security and prosperity of the country.
For his part, Commander of the National Guard Training Institute Brigadier General Khaled Hassan said the institute remains committed to implementing the leadership’s directives and advancing the objectives of the National Guard’s 2030 Strategic Plan, “Protecting the Homeland.”
He further noted that the plan focuses on enhancing the National Guard’s training system and preparing personnel through advanced academic and military programs in line with the latest training methods and standards. According to the statement, the graduates took the military oath, pledging to defend the homeland, safeguard its stability and protect its achievements.
