Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah stressed the importance of maintaining vigilance, raising readiness levels, and firmly confronting any attempts that may threaten the country’s security or disrupt public order.
The Ministry of Interior said in a press statement that the remarks came during an inspection tour conducted by Sheikh Fahad of the northern border posts, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The visit, accompanied by senior security officials, aimed to assess preparedness, monitor operations on the ground, and check on personnel stationed at their posts, affirming that safeguarding national security and border integrity requires the highest levels of vigilance and readiness.
During the tour, Sheikh Fahad conveyed the greetings and Eid Al-Fitr wishes of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to members of the border security, ports, and Coast Guard forces.
The Minister also directed enhanced coordination among various security and military sectors to ensure comprehensive protection of the country.
According to the statement, Sheikh Fahad began his tour by visiting the northern border centers, where he reviewed field conditions, security deployment, and operational procedures, closely examining the level of readiness and reassuring personnel carrying out their national duties in protecting the country's borders and stability.
He praised the high morale and discipline demonstrated by security personnel, reflecting their dedication and loyalty in performing their duties.
In a gesture of appreciation, Sheikh Fahad shared a meal with stationed forces at their sites, underscoring his commitment to being present with them and recognizing their sacrifices, particularly during the Eid holiday while away from their families.
For his part and following a field tour, Chief of the Kuwait Fire Force (KFF), Major General Talal Al-Roumi, said that firefighters represent the first line of defense in safeguarding lives and property.
In a statement issued by the KFF, Al-Roumi underscored that the sacrifices made by firefighters are highly valued and appreciated by both the leadership and the public. The tour covered several fire stations as well as preventive security points assigned to secure hospitals. He further stressed the importance of maintaining maximum readiness to respond to various risks, highlighting the need for constant vigilance and preparedness.
During the visit, he conveyed the greetings and congratulations of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah to all KFF personnel on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. He praised their sincere efforts and dedication in carrying out their national duties.
He added that field work during such occasions reflects the highest levels of commitment, affirming that firefighters will continue to uphold their responsibilities with vigilance to safeguard the nation and ensure public safety. Al-Roumi also expressed pride in the high level of discipline and competence demonstrated by preventive security teams.
