The Saudi Ministry of Interior is participating in the World Defense Show 2026 held from 8-12 February in Malham, north of Riyadh, showcasing technological solutions that envision the future of sustainable security, preparedness, and community service.

The Ministry’s participation stands out for its integrated operational capabilities, enhancing decision-making, command and control, predictive intelligence, and security management in support of smart, integrated, and sustainable security across the Kingdom.

The Ministry of Interior’s participation further highlights its shift toward proactive security and efficient crisis management through advanced technologies and its efforts in innovation and international security partnerships. The Ministry is also showcasing smart AI-powered solutions at its pavilion at the World Defense Show.

In the field of public safety, and as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to protect lives and property, the Ministry has leveraged modern technologies in firefighting, rescue operations, crisis management, and traffic safety. By applying the highest safety standards, responding quickly to incidents, and strictly enforcing traffic regulations, the ministry has reduced traffic fatalities on Saudi roads by more than 50%. This achievement was supported by tracking and monitoring recurring accident locations and classifying them as “black spots.”

Additionally, the Ministry has also streamlined entry procedures at international ports using AI and integrated digital systems, enabling automated processes that improve the visitor experience and support the Kingdom’s position as a global tourist destination.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior’s Agency for Security Capabilities is showcasing a long-range aerial vehicle (UAV) at its pavilion during the show, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The UAV is designed for aerial reconnaissance and surveillance over large areas, as well as for monitoring, tracking, and supporting search-and-rescue operations.

This is part of the Agency’s efforts to showcase technological security and service solutions that strengthen the ministry’s integrated operational capabilities in decision-making, command and control, predictive intelligence, and security landscape management.

Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that the Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz visited the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion on the first day of the World Defense Show on Sunday.

Prince Khalid was briefed on the Ministry’s operational capabilities to enhance decision-making, command and control, and predictive intelligence, all aimed at protecting residents across the Kingdom.

During his tour, he explored how the Ministry is advancing proactive security and efficient emergency management through innovative technical solutions. The tour also underscored the role of the unified security operations centers (911) in the national response system and the ministry's commitment to international partnerships in security and smart systems.
