Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz met in Paris on Monday with French Republic Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau at the French Ministry of the Interior in Paris.

During the meeting, the Interior Ministers discussed several topics related to security affairs between the two friendly countries. Following the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud and his French counterpart held an official discussion session.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud emphasized that the discussion session aimed to enhance security cooperation in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in light of the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic.

He emphasized the keenness of the Saudi government to enhance cooperation and collaboration with the French Republic in combating all forms of crime, tracking down perpetrators, countering international drug trafficking and money laundering networks, and facilitating the exchange of expertise between specialists from both countries.

He also highlighted the significant progress achieved in previous security cooperation efforts, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Moreover, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud extended his congratulations to the French Minister on the National Day of the French Republic, expressing his wishes for the continued security, safety, and prosperity of the French government and people.

Following the session, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud and his French counterpart signed the executive document outlining future security cooperation pathways between the Saudi and French Ministries.

Several senior officials from both Ministries attended the discussion session.
