Bahrain’s Interior Minister Receives Delegation from Airbus Helicopters

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Interior received Tuesday a delegation from Airbus Helicopters, headed by Ali Alamri, the company’s representative in Riyadh.

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah commended the company’s delegation for their cooperation in strengthening Police Aviation’s technical and operational capabilities, especially in public safety, emergency medical services, and law enforcement.

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah noted the importance of improving the efficiency of Police Aviation and strengthening its role in maintaining public security and safety.

He also highlighted the ongoing improvements through training, new systems, and modern equipment as part of a larger plan to stay ready for emergencies and future security challenges, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

The company’s delegation reported that the development project is on track. It was also agreed to train a team of pilots, engineers, and paramedics to prepare for the air ambulance service, which will be equipped with the latest technology to support search and rescue, medical evacuation, and emergency response.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, chaired a meeting last Thursday at Bayan Palace with a delegation from Airbus, in the presence of the company’s CEO, the Ambassadors of Germany, Spain, France to Kuwait, as well as a number of Airbus Executives.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance and develop the commercial partnership between both sides, noting that the delegation was also encouraged to establish a regional office in Kuwait, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

The meeting was attended by Head of the Prime Minister Diwan Abdulaziz Al-Dakheel and Head of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Humoud Al-Sabah.
