Honeywell at the Airports Security International Event

Honeywell, a diversified technology and manufacturing leader, is showcasing technologies for safer and smarter airports at the Airports Security International Conference and Exhibition, currently taking place at Hilton Hotel, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (27-28 May 2013).
 “Our technologies drive efficiency in the terminal and in the air, delivering passenger security, improving runway and passenger safety, and raising airfield productivity, all of which makes flying safer, more productive and comfortable  in any airport all over the world,” said Norm Gilsdorf, President of Honeywell High Growth Regions Russia, Central Asia and Middle East.
Honeywell has a long history developing new technologies for the aviation industry; both on the airport and airline side and is celebrating 100 years of innovation at airports this year. Now, more than 500 airports worldwide now use Honeywell’s technologies and services, a statement said.
Held under the patronage of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia (GACA), the International Conference on Airport Security underlines the care and endeavor of the Authority to build working relationships, communications, as well as exploring opportunities for the exporters and manufacturers of the state of the art technologies, provisions and equipment required by its pioneering projects.
These projects aim at building and executing a wide network of international and regional airports during the next five years throughout the Kingdom, with a huge budget in the region of tens of billions. In addition to the above, there is the program for expanding most of the existing local and international airports, modernizing their facilities, & enhancing the security requirements and technologies currently in use, in order that they meet the most up to date global criteria and advances in the field.
