Qatar, US Sign Agreement to Enhance Security Cooperation

The State of Qatar and the United States of America signed an agreement in Doha to enhance security cooperation between the two countries.

The agreement was signed by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Abdullah bin Khalaf bin Hattab Al Kaabi on behalf of Qatar, and HE Ambassador of the United States of America to the State of Qatar Timmy Davis on behalf of the United States.

Additionally, HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and HE the US Ambassador discussed the existing cooperation relations between the two friendly countries in the security fields and ways to support and develop them, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

In another development, HE Assistant Undersecretary of Qatar’s Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs Sheikh Nayef bin Faleh Al-Thani met last week with HE Director of Public Security of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of joint cooperation in security fields. They also discussed ways to enhance the exchange of expertise and experiences to improve the security work system in the two fraternal countries.
