His Royal Highness Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan, attended on Monday the opening of the Artificial Intelligence in Defense Technologies and Cyber Security Exhibition and Conference (AIDTSEC 2023) at the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Center at the Dead Sea.
Organized by SOFEX, AIDTSEC is a biennial conference and exhibition that is established to be the region’s most significant AI conference, aiming to bring together the lead AI guru’s in Defence Technologies and Cyber Security.
The conference and exhibition showcase the latest technologies and developments in AI, aimed at finding dynamic solutions for operations in defense, cyber security, and big data analysis and protection.
Speaking at the opening, Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for Planning and Defense Resources Brigadier General Tawfiq Marzouq said there is a global need for cooperation and expertise exchange to counter major threats related to data and information security, Petra news agency reported.
For his part, National Cybersecurity Center Director Bassam Maharmeh said AI models can help preempt threats and crises, noting that the center employs AI tools in various operations.
A number of Ministers and senior officers and officials attended the opening ceremony.
The AIDTSEC 2023 conference, first launched two years ago, is aimed at the exchange of expertise between innovators, experts, and start-ups working in defense AI and cyber security technologies.
AIDTSEC aims to attract the region’s vastly recognized officials, decision makers, technological experts, professionals and researchers in the field to tackle and discuss the world’s emerging AI Defence Technologies including Digital Transformation & Infrastructure, Big Data & Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Data Protection, and many more important AI related subjects.
The first edition of the Artificial Intelligence in Defence Technologies and Cyber Security Exhibition and Conference - AIDTSEC 2021 was held under the Patronage of HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
With the support of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army, AIDTSEC 2021 saw widespread and diverse local and international presence in terms of participation, media coverage and delegation, according to the Organizers.
The event was covered by more than 125 local and international media outlets and was live-streamed over the virtual platform over the course of 2 days. AIDTSEC 2021 clinched over 80 exhibiting companies, more than 1800 attendees, 75 speakers, 4 side events, and over 50 speaking seminars and sessions.
