A delegation from Qatar’s Ministry of Interior participated on Tuesday in the inauguration of the16th IDEF International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF’23) which took place in Istanbul under the patronage of Republic of Turkiye.
HE Director of Public Security Major General Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Suwaidi led the delegation of the Qatari Ministry of Interior participating in the fair, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
On the sidelines of the fair events, HE Director of Public Security Major General Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Suwaidi met with HE General Director of Security in Turkiye Erol Ayyildiz.
Held at Istanbul TÜYAP Fair and Congress Centre, between 25-28 July, IDEF hosts many official delegations from approximately 25 countries and celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
IDEF’23 is one of the most prominent fairs in the world, where 1,461 companies from 55 countries are participating in the event this year to showcase the cutting-edge technologies and systems innovated by Turkish and global defense industry companies.
In another development, Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, met in Doha Tuesday with HE Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom James Cleverly at Dukhan Air Base.
The meeting dealt with discussing issues of joint interest and reviewed the cooperation relations between the two sides, and ways to enhance and develop them.
The meeting was attended by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United Kingdom Fahd bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, HE Commander of the Amiri Air Force Major General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, and a number of Senior Officers in the Qatari Armed Forces.
