Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawah (photo), Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, launched in Riyadh the “National Internet Switchboard”, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
This reflects a national pioneering initiative to raise the quality of internet services as part of a package to implement the National Transformation Program 2020 in order to achieve the Kingdom Vision 2030.
This initiative aims at activating digital services and strengthening information security in the Kingdom, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and in participation of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), the communications and information technology commission (CITC) and telecommunications companies partners of success.
The launching ceremony was attended by KACST President Prince Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed and a number of senior officials.
