Saudi Arabia to Host Cyber Saber Hackathon 2018

The Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SFCPD) announced that it will hold Cyber Saber Hackathon Competition 2018 on 6-7 November at the prestigious Crowne Plaza - Riyadh RDC Hotel & Convention Center

To increase the number of Saudi professionals in the field of Cybersecurity, Cyber Saber Hackathon 2018 will enable 100+ invited students from a about 20 select Saudi public and private universities to participate in an exciting and dynamic hackathon challenge, which will consist of hundreds of attack scenarios.

This will include the logical access to a virtual environment which is simulated via a model smart city. The top three teams will win cash prizes.

The competition will be held in cooperation with VirtuPort and STC Business as a continuation of efforts to support the skills of the homeland's citizens and embrace them to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in order to provide an environment suitable for young people in all technical fields.

SFCPD CEO Nouf bint Abdullah Al-Rakan said in a press statement that this partnership comes within the framework of the Federation's supporting and quest to discover and promote the talents and capabilities of Saudi youth and to empower young people to become professional in the field of cybersecurity in accordance with the best international standards.
