Saudi Interior Minister Visits Philippines

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, arrived Saturday evening in the Republic of the Philippines on an official visit, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

 

Upon arrival at the Villamor airbase airport, he was received by Secretary of Department of the Interior and Local Government of the Republic of the Philippines, Eduardo Ano, the Saudi Ambassador to Philippine Dr. Abdullah bin Nasir Al-Busairi and a number of officials.

 

The Saudi Minister held a session of talks with Secretary of the Interior and Local Government of the Philippines Eduardo Manahan Ano.

 

SPA said that the session of talks focused on cooperation between the two interior ministries in addition, to regional developments. 

 

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz also received National Security Adviser of the Philippines Hermogenes Esperon (photo). During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest.

 

On Monday, he received Secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment of the Philippines Silvestre Bello. During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest.

 

Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Interior paid a state visit to the Republic of Singapore where he met with Singapore’s President Halimah Yacob, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean, Singapore’s Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Law Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam, and Minister of Communications and Information, Minister Responsible for Muslim Affairs of the Republic of Singapore Dr. Yacoub Ibrahim.
