The armed forces of the UAE, US, UK and France began joint military exercises in Abu Dhabi earlier this week, UAE national news agency WAM reported.

The two-week drill is part of the efforts to consolidate multilateral relations, and to increase co-ordination between the UAE Armed Forces and its counterparts.

The joint exercises, code-named “Flag4”, comes within the framework of UAE’s joint military co-operation with brotherly and friendly countries in order to raise combat efficiency, gain more field expertise, and work to unify military concepts and terminologies among the participating parties.

Meanwhile, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Raul Pinto, Brazil's Minister of Defense, in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, where they discussed ways of bolstering cooperation, especially in the security and military sectors.
