UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today welcomed Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Interior of the State of Kuwait.
During the meeting, which took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, along with his best wishes for the UAE's continued progress and prosperity.
In return, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended his greetings and best wishes to the Amir of Kuwait, wishing further growth and prosperity for the Kuwaiti people under his leadership, UAE news agency WAM reported.
The two sides discussed the long-standing fraternal ties between the UAE and Kuwait and the progress in bilateral cooperation across various fields that serve the interests of both countries and support their shared aspirations for development and prosperity.
The meeting also addressed the importance of supporting the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) efforts to serve the common interests of GCC countries and their people, contributing to enhancing regional security, stability, and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Mohamed Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Adviser to the UAE President; along a number of officials and the delegation accompanying First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Interior of the State of Kuwait.
For his part, Lt. General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, held a meeting Wednesday with Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Interior of the State of Kuwait, at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance the existing cooperation between the two brotherly countries, with a particular focus on the security and police sectors, exploring opportunities for support and development in these areas.
They also addressed several topics of mutual interest. H.H. Sheikh Saif then accompanied the guest minister and the Kuwaiti delegation on a visit to the Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Happiness. The delegation was briefed on the Ministry’s smart services system, including the governance, evaluation, and follow-up methods employed through the specialised operations room. They also reviewed how the Ministry delivers services to customers according to the highest international standards and practices.
The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials from both sides.
