Leonardo will be participating in the Expo 2020 Dubai the global exposition to be held in the United Arab Emirates from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
Innovation and sustainability will be key themes at Expo 2020 Dubai https://www.expo202dubai.com/. Their implementation in the aerospace industry will be at the core of Leonardo’s sponsorship of the Italian Pavilion during the six months of the international exhibition, allowing visitors to develop their knowledge and foster collaborative business relationships to boost the nation’s competitiveness in the region and on the global stage.
Leonardo will be showcasing technology and product innovations related to new frontiers in the aeronautical sector, with a particular focus on the revolutionary AW609 tiltrotor, designed and manufactured by Leonardo to obtain an effective synthesis between the operational versatility of a helicopter and the advantages of a plane.
Visitors of the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai https://italyexpo2020.it/en/ will be able to see up close the robotic drill of the ESA-Roscosmos ExoMars 2022 mission, built with the support of ASI, which will search for traces of life on Mars past and present, and a sophisticated atomic clock made for high precision space applications. The hydrogen atomic clock is at the heart of the European Galileo satellite navigation and positioning system, capable of offering precision which has never been achieved before.
Leonardo’s innovative contribution will also be shown at the helicopter terminal, built together with Falcon Aviation Services. The terminal - removable, reusable and built with sustainable materials - represents a solution that is aimed at combining a helipad, exhibition, and lounge areas and will facilitate the mobility to and from the Expo 2020 site, supporting the development of a network of point-to-point connections.
