Held under the full patronage of the UAE Ministry of Defense (MoD) and the support of the UAE Armed Forces, the 2nd edition of the Middle East Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Conference (MEISR-2012) will take place on February 5, 2012 at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi.


As regional security threats evolve and increase in sophistication GCC militaries are facing new pressures in the realm of ISR capabilities. From a continuum ranging from higher level strategic intelligence to tactical level intelligence of the battlefield to sustain operations, ISR capabilities must deliver on new and emerging requirements for enhanced situational awareness to support operations.

MEISR 2012 will tackle core issues associated with ISR head-on by drawing on the latest insights from international and regional authorities, drawing lessons from recent operations. MEISR aims to create an unprecedented forum to enable knowledge transfer and a regional networking event for military professionals in ISR-related fields.

MEISR 2012 boasts a speaker panel comprising Senior Officers of remarkable expertise, including:

  • Rear Admiral Charles Gaouette, Deputy Commander, Naval Forces Central Command, United States.
