The 3rd Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2012) is preparing to take part in a trade event for the defense and security sector this February.Supporting its 2012 promotional campaign, DIMDEX is exhibiting at the IDEX Exhibition from 20 – 24 February, 2011.
Held under the patronage of His Highness, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Heir Apparent of the State of Qatar, DIMDEX, will take place in Doha, Qatar from 26 - 28 March 2012.
Staff Brigadier (Sea) Mohammed Bin Nasser Al Mohannadi, Chairman of DIMDEX 2012, is leading a high level delegation from the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces (QENF) to Abu-Dhabi to participate at IDEX.
“IDEX is one of the leading defense shows in the Middle East and it is vital for QENF and DIMDEX 2012 to participate at this exhibition. With Qatar having won the opportunity to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022, we believe this will be a motivating factor in encouraging industry members to include DIMDEX on their 2012 exhibition agenda,” says Staff Brigadier Al Mohannadi.
Some of the distinct features of DIMDEX 2012 during the show include a fleet of some of the world’s finest warship on display at the Doha Commercial Port. Add to this, a world class list of VIP delegations that includes the minister of defense alongside chiefs of navy.
Another distinguishing feature of DIMDEX 2012 is The Middle East Navy Commanders Conference (MENC), which will take place during the exhibition in March 2012. A strategically focused conference, MENC will provide a comprehensive insight into the main key factors influencing the Maritime defense industry in the region and appeal to visitors that might not usually have a reason to visit the show. This globally relevant conference will bring together international speakers and conference delegates to provide an optimum mix of networking and education.
