The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) is taking part in the 2024 subsistence competition (codenamed 2024 Army Sustainer) in the city of Grantham at Camp Prince William in the United Kingdom (UK).

Catering crews of Armed Forces from various countries of the world are contesting the trophy of the competition, which runs until 18 May 2024.

Through its participation in the international competition, the RAO seeks to enhance the efficiency of its catering crews and hone their technical skills in logistical and administrative fields, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

The drill helps augment armed personnel’s ability to subsist during various circumstances in military operations, which also requires high readiness of related administrative systems.

It is worth noting that the RAO’s sustainment team won first place at the global level during its participation in the same event in 2023.
