Kuwait’s Naval Force Commander Visits Sultanate of Oman

Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison Tuesday (photo) Commodore Hazza Mutlaq Al Alati, Commander of Kuwait’s Naval Force and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on various naval matters of mutual interest, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

The meeting was attended by Commodore Jasim Mohammed Al Balushi, Director of Operations and Plans, Commodore (Eng.) Awad Abdulrahman Al Ma’amari, Director of Engineering and Supplies of the RNO and the Military Attaché of the Kuwaiti Embassy at Muscat.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Za’abi, Secretary General at the Sultanate’s Ministry of Defence, also received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison Tuesday the visiting Kuiwaiti Commander and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed several matters of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), and several senior officers of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF).

The Kuwaiti guests also visited the Military Technological College (MTC) on Tuesday. Upon their arrival at the college, they were received by Air Commodore (Eng.) Mohammed Aziz Al Siyabi, Commandant of the MTC. The Kuwaiti Commander was briefed on the College’s educational and service facilities, in addition to its general curriculum, technical specializations and various educational levels.

Later, the Kuwaiti Naval Force and his accompanying delegation visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). The guests were greeted upon their arrival by Commodore Adil Hamoud Al Busaidi, Head of the MSC.

Members of the visiting delegation were briefed on the roles and tasks carried out by the Centre in maintaining the safety of maritime environment. They also toured the Centre’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies that are used in carrying out its national duties.

Lastly, Commodore Hazza Mutlaq Al Alati, Commander of Kuwait’s Naval Force and his accompanying delegation, visited the National Defence College (NDC).

Upon the guests’ arrival, they were received by Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of the NDC.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed several matters of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Nasser Rashid Al Kalbani, Deputy Commandant of the NDC. It was also attended by the Academic Representative of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) at the NDC.

The visiting delegation toured the College’s facilities, as well as its various departments and halls.
