SELEX Communications at Libdex 2010

SELEX Communications, a Finmeccanica company, is participating at Libdex 2010, the main exhibition within Northern Africa Defense & Public Safety sector. Organized by the General Committee of Defense together with the Libyan Air Defense and Public Safety departments, the second edition of this event is currently taking place at the Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli (8-11 November 2010).
SELEX Communications is showcasing its solutions together with other Finmeccanica Group companies: AgustaWestland, Alenia Aermacchi, Alenia Aeronautica, Oto Melara and SELEX Galileo.
Solutions exhibited at Libdex are: Italian Future Soldier, the land forces modernization program which allows to improve significantly the five areas established by NATO: lethality, C4I (Command & Control, Communications, Computers, Information/Intelligence), protection, mobility and supportability, equipped with PRR – Personal Role Radio; CM 119 IP - IP Encryption equipment; radio SWave™, both in vehicular and portable version, based on a next-generation technology which is going to
represent the heart of all tactical military communications thanks to its reconfigurability and interoperability; Wide Band Data Link - Line-Of-Sight (WBDL-LOS), a state-of-the-art Ku-band solution for video/images/data/voice transmission, up to 45 Mbps, between manned and unmanned platforms and control centers, up to 10.000-metre altitude and at a distance of more than hundreds of kilometers. Recently, WBDL-LOS has been tested during the fourth flight campaign of the Sky-YAlenia Aeronautica’s unmanned aircraft.
