Bahrain’s Commander-in-Chief Receives US Fifth Fleet Commander

Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received Monday Admiral Charles Bradford Cooper (photo), Commander of United States Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) and Commander of United States Fifth Fleet (C5F).

The meeting discussed issues of common interest. Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi was present.

The Commander-in-Chief praised the Bahraini-American relations and the development witnessed by both countries at all levels, especially in the military field.

The Commander-in-Chief also received the outgoing UK Maritime Component Commander Edward Ahlgren. Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi was also present at this meeting.

The Commander-in-Chief praised the efforts exerted by the outgoing UK Maritime Component Commander throughout his tenure, wishing him success in his future endeavors.

He lauded the deep-rooted friendly Bahraini-UK relations, praising the steady progress of cooperation across various fields, particularly in the exchange of expertise and military cooperation.

On Thursday, Bahrain’s National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, Major General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, also received Admiral Charles Bradford Cooper, Commander of United States Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) and Commander of United States Fifth Fleet (C5F).

Major General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed him and reviewed with him means of boosting cooperation between the two friendly countries, mainly in the military and defense fields.

He lauded historical relations of friendship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the USA. He also stressed deep strategic partnership between the two friendly countries and mutual commitment to boosting security and peace in the region.
