Bahrain Chief-of-Staff Receives Peninsula Shield Force Commander

The Chief-of-Staff of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Lieutenant General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi received Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force Major General Walid bin Falah Al Dhaheri, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.


The BDF Chief-of-Staff welcomed him, lauding the efforts of the Peninsula Shield Joint Forces in promoting the common goal and destiny binding the GCC countries.

 

Meanwhile, Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa patronized a distribution ceremony of medals conferred by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, marking BDF Golden Jubilee, on Defense Minister Lieutenant General Yusef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma, Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Defense Ministry Undersecretary Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and senior officials.

 

The BDF Commander-in-Chief presented the Order of Power to the Defense Minister, the Chief of Staff, the Defense Ministry Undersecretary and senior officials. He presented Bahrain First and Second Class Medals to a number of senior officials, commanders, directors and senior officers. He also presented the First Class Medal of Competence to senior officers who obtained Master’s Degrees and PhD in military and national defense sciences and from civil universities.

The BDF Commander-in-Chief conveyed the greetings of HM the King, thanking all participants in the “Power of Determination” mobilization drill which, he said, was carried out with utmost professionalism and competence. He paid tribute to HM the King, praising the royal reform project and the establishment of BDF. He lauded the honorable achievements of BDF, praising the high competence of its personnel. He underlined the advanced level reached by BDF in 50 years which he said has become a modern defense force that parallels the most developed armies in advanced countries. He also paid tribute to HM the King for developing BDF and equipping it with cutting edge weaponries and technologies.

The BDF Commander-in-Chief paid homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation.

The Defense Minister presented the BDF Commander-in-Chief with a commemorative gift marking the BDF golden jubilee.
