Bahrain’s Defense Chief Receives Chief of British Operations

Bahrain Defense Force Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received outgoing Chief of Joint Operations of British Forces, Lt. General John Lorimer, who accompanied his replacement Vice Admiral Timothy Peter Fraser, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

The Commander-in-Chief hailed the existing friendship relations between the two kingdoms and praised Lt-Gen John Lorimer’s efforts exerted during his tenure. He wished the new chief Rear Admiral Timothy Peter Fraser success in his mission.

The meeting was also attended by Director General of the General Command, Major General Hassan Mohammed Saad; Inspector General Major General Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, Director of Military Cooperation, Rear Admiral Mohammed Hashim Al-Sada; Commander of Royal Bahrain Naval Force, Rear Admiral Sheikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and UK Ambassador to Bahrain, Simon Martin.

Earlier this week, the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), received at the BDF's General Command the UK Military Attaché to Bahrain, Lieutenant-Colonel Andrew Prince.

He lauded the distinguished Bahraini-British relations of friendship and praised the existing cooperation between the two kingdoms in various fields, especially regarding exchange of expertise and cooperation in the military field.

Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Supply and Catering, Rear Admiral Yussef Ahmed Malallah, attended the meeting.
